The BiON Skincare professional cosmetics series is a product series developed by dermatologists and biochemists, which is represented internationally by dermatological practices and cosmetologists.

The product series is specialized in the treatment of acne and rosacea. You can find products and facial treatments from BiON cosmetologists trained in Finland, but our imported consumer online store serves customers who cannot yet find their own retailer in their locality.

BiON Skincare's products have been developed by professionals specializing in acne treatment, dermatologists and biochemists. They wanted to develop a treatment method for acne treatment that does not have harmful side effects for the skin or the body. The products use clinically studied active ingredients of natural origin, which provide a biochemical response in skin care. The goal of our treatment is the complete control of acne, not just the relief of visible physical symptoms.

The acne and rosacea treatment package developed by BiON Skincare focuses on an effective cause-and-effect method, which makes it possible to get full control of acne. Visible acne itself is only a physical symptom whose roots lie deeper in the skin's resistance. If the goal of the treatment is to restore the health of the skin, the treatment should focus on the biochemical balance of the skin and through this on the skin's resistance and natural immune functions.

Most of the treatment products developed for traditional acne treatment mainly focus on reducing sebum production and combating bacterial activity. However, continuous acne infections lead to an imbalance of the skin's chemical function and this weakens the skin's natural defenses and healing. It follows that acne maintains itself (chronicizes) and may progress to a progressively more severe degree over time.

The treatment package is always selected according to the type of acne (comedo acne, inflamed acne, pre-rosacea, acne rosacea). The choice of products is therefore not influenced by skin type or age.

The products are not recommended for simultaneous use with the Roaccutta course (isotretinoin) , as the course stops sebum production and thins and sensitizes the functions of the skin. When the course is over, it takes about 6 months for the skin to recover from the drug course and only after this can the treatment with BiON products begin. Recovery is still completely individual and for many customers it takes well over half a year for sebum production to return.

Other courses that are based on antibiotics (e.g. tetracycline) can be started, but the response to the treatment may be slightly slower than normal.

Treatment products that are applied locally to the skin, such as gels or creams, must not be used simultaneously with BiON treatment products.

When you start an acne treatment program with BiON products, you should not use any other treatment products. Each of our treatment products has been carefully developed to support the other and we cannot make promises about the effectiveness of the treatment if other treatment products are also used. In this case, the possibility of skin reactions also increases.

Whether it is a traditional treatment product such as cleaning, peeling or pharmacy treatment products: vitamin a creams and benzyl peroxide products, the products should not be used simultaneously with BiON treatment so that the progress of the treatment is not interrupted.

Yes, it is, the situation is not caused by an allergy or hypersensitivity reaction. It is the so-called Flare-up phenomenon (cleansing and relapse phase), which appears in about 25% of those who started the treatment, mostly after 2-3 weeks of treatment, sometimes even earlier.

The BiON product line is a clinic-level professional line developed in collaboration between dermatologists and biochemists, whose products treat acne using the cause-and-effect method, i.e. they attack acne directly at the level of the skin's resistance, and the goal of the treatment is always complete control of acne. Acne is a chronic skin disease, and in order to achieve lasting results in its treatment, the skin must also regenerate.

The flare-up phenomenon is a desired state in BiON treatment, because it directly indicates that the products are working and the skin's resistance to infections and bacteria is recovering. Because of this, pimples appear on the skin, because the skin pushes waste materials and bacteria out of the pores. In some customers, the skin renews even more strongly, in which case severe dryness, tightening of the skin, peeling, redness and heat may be the symptoms. These symptoms are therefore completely caused by the renewal of dead skin cells (acne skin has hyperkeratinization, i.e. there is often a thicker layer of dead skin cells) and the fact that biological immune processes help the skin to "cleanse" itself of dead cells, bacteria, toxins and waste materials. If this condition does not occur, waste materials and bacteria remain in the pores, maintaining acne in the skin - that is, complete control is not achieved in the treatment. Customers who have this clear flare-up phase at the beginning of the treatment usually also achieve the best treatment results, as the skin responds as expected to the action of the products.

In this situation, the treatment should not be stopped under any circumstances, but the treatment should be continued in the normal way so that the skin is completely cleansed and the regeneration is carried out to the end without interruption. Depending on the severity of the acne and the amount of inflammation, the situation stabilizes within a week or two, after which the skin is clearly cleaner and healthier.

Our spot treatment products contain a very small amount of different AHA and BHA acids (milk, glycol and salicylic acid), which are active, safe and effective ingredients.

The acids renew the skin and cell function, improve and repair the skin's structure, prevent and even out pigmentation disorders, exfoliate, shrink and deep clean the pores of sebum.

On the first few uses, the precision care product may cause a little redness and a tingling sensation, which is completely normal, but when you include the product in your daily routine - you will soon notice that the redness no longer occurs because your skin is used to the product.

Yes, most of BiON Skincare's care products can be used in a normal and safe way, even during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

BiON Skincare products that we do not recommend for use during pregnancy are Vitamin A + Antioxidant Complex and Bio-Replenish ACE , due to the vitamin A content of the products.

Slight separation and precipitation, especially in some cleaning gels and specific care agents, is completely normal and it is recommended to always shake the products lightly before use. (If the product is not used regularly, the oils or powder-based plant/herb extracts may separate slightly - but the situation is always corrected by shaking.)

Colors may also slightly change over time in cleaning products and this is also completely normal. Normal changes like this are not noticed in products covered with dyes and perfumes.

The products contain a very high amount of natural ingredients, including oils that may naturally cloud in cool temperatures. Precipitation or cloudiness may occur in the products - this is a normal reaction and is not a sign of product spoilage. One example is the popular Bacteriostat Cleanser, which often has a light precipitate and sediment due to the turmeric and licorice extract. This is completely normal.

The plant extracts used in the products live according to the seasons , and because of this, the pigment or scent absorbed from them may naturally vary depending on the batch. For example, Bacteriostat Cleanser, whose coloring is strong yellow during the turmeric season, or Follicle Clearing Lotion, whose scent is slightly stronger during the cinnamon season.

BiON Skincare products do not contain added perfumes, but this does not make the products fragrance-free. It is therefore normal that there may be normal fragrance variations between batches.

The emulsifiers in the cleaning products are plant-based (oat amino acids) and they live according to the seasons and the climate. For example, a warm and dry climate when oats are harvested from crops may sometimes affect the moisture binding capacity of amino acids. In this case, shaking the product makes it easier for the oat amino acids to mix with the liquid, so the thickness of the gel is restored

The situation is normal, and the product package does not include a hose, as it is a hygienic and shelf-stable airless pump bottle. The compression works with pressure.

If the product does not come out of the pump or the product comes out sloshing when pumping, there is a small hole at the bottom of the package that can be pressed to restore the pressure to the bottle and the pump will start working normally again. Sometimes, for example, the transport may swing the lifting disk inside, causing the pressure to become unbalanced.
