Keratosis Pilaris

If you have reddish or white pimples on your arms, thighs, or buttocks, as well as ruffles, it is quite likely that it is Keratosis Pilaris (sebaceous gland corneal pins). It most often occurs on the body, but is also found on younger children on the face, especially in the cheek area.

Keratosis Pilaris may be a genetic condition of the skin where the skin does not regenerate and “peel” in the normal way. For example, the skin may be severely moisture-poor, which is why natural regenerating enzyme functions do not release dead surface cells, but make the skin horny. As a result, the sebaceous glands collect horny mass, which causes blockages and small raised pale pimples.

Keratosis Pilaris is mainly a cosmetic and completely harmless and common skin condition, it occurs in about 40% of adults. Although the ailment is cosmetic, it can be frustrating especially during the summer when the skin is more exposed.

How do I get rid of the nasty pimples on my arms and thighs?

Because these pimples and dryness of the skin are associated with severe stratification of the skin, i.e. a thick dead surface cell, the most effective treatment is regular exfoliation at least twice a week. Traditionally, the body is exfoliated with granular creams, a brush or a glove, but traditional exfoliation achieves little results in the treatment of Keratosis Pilaris.

There should be a chemical peel that gently dissolves the dead cell and the corneal mass without physical abrasion, ie AHA acids (fruit acids) that can be used to achieve results quickly. The chemically exfoliating body lotion is absorbed deep into the hair follicle and pores, effectively dissolving corneal blockages and tightening the surface dryness of the skin, i.e. dead cells. The skin is immediately restored to a more even skin tone, smooth evenness and the formation of Keratosis Pilaris pimples is significantly reduced.

Peel the skin with Skin Renewal Cream 20% AHA - two to three times a week

BiON Skin Renewal Cream 20% AHA contains 20% skin-gentle and humectant glycolic acid, which helps to deeply cleanse and exfoliate the skin. This cream combines exfoliating and moisturizing effect, you do not need a traditional moisturizing body cream. In order to quickly achieve results and keep the skin evenly smooth, the body cream left on the skin should be used 2-3 times a week.
